Sisters in Scouting
GSCM #2091 and GSCM #12091

Our Program
At Girl Scouts, your girl will prepare for a lifetime of leadership, success, and adventure in a safe, no-limits place designed for and by girls! She’ll get to lead her own adventure (it’s her world!) and team up with other girls in an all-girl environment to choose the exciting, hands-on activities that interest her most. Along the way, she’ll gain important skills in four areas
- Life Skills
- Outdoors
- Science, technology, engineering, and math(STEM)
- Entrepreneurship
that form the foundation of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience.
At Troop #2091 we have designed a framework (Framework-flyer.pdf) that will allow your girl to choose her own level of involvement and areas of interest. The core of each year's program includes activities in each of the Leadership Experience skill areas, with meetings twice each month. Girls may also participate in what we call the "Summit Track," which adds more activities and two more meetings each month. (***Special Note: Summit Track will take a one-year hiatus, so that volunteers may focus on establishing Sister Troop #12091.***) Finally, leaders are available to assist girls in any independent work they choose.
Still in its early forming stage, Troop #12091 is intended to serve upper-level Girl Scouts. Girls will determine their own patrol structures based on their interests and goals. Currently, there are nominally two patrols: Frontier (all things Girl Scout) and Olympia (Bronze, Silver, and Gold Award candidates). Adult volunteers will provide as much guidance and support as the girls need to establish this troop, identify its goals, and plan its activities.
